A barcode scanner is an electronic equipment that is used to read printed barcodes. It uses a lens light source to translate tracked and managed wide range of items that include grocery items and other shopping items. There are several types of barcode scanners they include; fixed barcode scanners, hand held barcode scanners and stationary barcode scanners.
A laser diode emits a beam onto a combination of rotating and fixed mirrors that shine multiple beams onto the bar code. Although as many as 50 beams may hit the package at different angles, only one is shown in this illustration. The reflected light is captured by the collector and aimed at a sensor.
